GOLF GAMES

 

Best 9 – Choose your best 9 holes scored using 2 par 3’s, 2 par 5’s and 5 par 4’s.  Add together and subtract ½ handicap.

 

Blind Partners – Partners are drawn by the chairperson when the group finishes.  Best ball of partners.  Full handicap.

 

Blind 9 – Play all 18 holes.  9 holes will be drawn after play and these will be the ones that count for the game.  ½ half handicap

 

Colored Ball Game – Team Game - Rotate the colored ball - Must stay in order once you start.  Count the score of the colored ball plus one other best of ball of 4-some.

 

Criers – Revert your 2 worst holes back to par.  Add your score and subtract full handicap.

 

Low Putts – Player keeps complete score but also records number of putts  ON THE GREEN ONLY,.

 

Medal Play – Low net for the day

 

Nassau – 3 chances to win – best front 9, back 9, and best total.

 

Nines – 3 person match play game – 9 points are awarded for each hole.

 5 for 1st – 3 for 2nd  & 1 for 3rd.

Whoever has the lowest net score on a hole gets 5 points, next 3 & then 1.

If you tie-add the points together and divide equally.  1st & 2nd tie you each get 4 points.  If all tie –each gets 3 points.

All match play rules apply except it is an 18 hole game.  Most points is the winner.

 

Odd/Even – Partner game – 1 person counts their odd holes and the other counts their even.  Combine score for total.  Best to dot cards and use each persons net score.

Can also be played as a 9 hole game.  Pick your best odd or even minus ½ your handicap.

 

O.N.E.S. – Count only the holes that start with these letters.  ½ handicap

 

Pick 4 Clubs – Pick 4 clubs you want to use (plus your putter) and use only these clubs to play all 18 holes.  Cannot post this game.

 

Scramble – Each player drives and then the best ball is selected.  Each player then hits from that spot.  Do this with every shot until hole is completed.

 

Stableford – Net Point system.  0-double bogey; 1-bogey; 2-par; 3-birdie; 4-eagle- 5 double eagle.  Most points wins. Dot cards for this game so you know your net on each hole for your points.

 

Step aside Scramble – Everyone tee’s off – Pick best – That person does not hit the next shot.  Continue in this manner until holed out. Percentage of handicap

 

Tee to Green – Count strokes until you reach the green.  Do not count putts on the green.  Subtract ½ handicap.

 

Texas Scramble – Everyone tee’s off – Pick best – Everyone plays their own ball from that point. Score 2 best balls.  

 

Throw Out – Throw out your 4 worst holes. ½ handicap
