The Par Point Game is open to all MGA members.

Call the Pro Shop at 770-904-3729 by Monday to add your name to the weekend play. 

  The entry fee is $20 payable in Freddie's grill after the golf round. 

Score cards should include players' first and last names and the tees played.  New players please indicate current handicap index.

When requesting your slot, try to identify your foursome, threesome, or twosome, to expedite the process.  If you have no group set up, the MGA and Pro Shop will create the foursomes.  If we do not fill the allotted times, they will be sold starting Tuesday.  There also will be NO switching of teams on Saturday morning.  We must maintain a smooth tee schedule to at keep our group together.

                    Par-Point Game

Saturday:     Teams formed by blind draw at end of round;

                 1st and 2nd and 3rd  individual winners

Sunday:    Individual winners, 1st, 2nd, 3rd for Front Nine and 1st, 2nd,3rd for Back Nine.

 

Both days:    Closet to the pin (on the putting surface) on all par 3's

 

Gross skins in 2 flights based on handicap – if less than 16 players then skins will be one flight based on net skins

 

Winners determined by most points over Par-Point Quota

 

Par-Point Quota

18 hole quota = 36 minus 18 hole handicap

9 hole quota = 18 minus 9 hole handicap

 

Par-Point Scoring

1 point for bogey;

2 points for par;

4 points for birdie;

6 points for eagle

 

Suggested Playing Tees by Handicap

Please play the tees which will allow you to have the most enjoyment and be great competition.

Couples tees - 4 or less;   

Gold tees - 5 to 10;  

Blue tees - 11 to 17;  

White tees - 18 plus or over 70 years

(note: handicaps will be adjusted using USGA guidelines for competition from different tees, Handicap adjustments as follows Black +2, Gold +1, Blue no adjustment, White –3) 

Local Rules

Putts within the leather may be conceded.

  When play is cart-path only, ball in fairway may be lifted and cleaned. Winter Rules allow for ball to be rolled one club length in FAIRWAY only.
